The 125ft (38m) MV Carpe Vita, sister ship to the Carpe Diem and Carpe Novo liveaboards, is a luxury yacht offering year-round diving in the Maldives. There are 10 comfortable cabins divided over 3 decks, each with private bathroom facilities, individually controlled AC, storage space, safety deposit boxes, and a desk and chair. On the lower deck are 6 Standard Cabins which have one queen-size bed and a super single bed, the main deck has two Superior Cabins which have king-size beds which can be separated into two super single beds and ocean views. The upper deck has 2 VIP spacious Suites with California king bed and ocean views.
On the MV Carpe Vita meals are prepared by a fine-dining chef and served semi-buffet style at an open-air dining and bar area located at the back of the boat. Breakfast is the usual fare of eggs, beef bacon, pancakes, French toast, potatoes, cereal and fruits. Lunches and evening meals usually consist of vegetables, rice, pasta, soup, chicken, beef or fish with occasional local specialties offered as additional options.
Social areas aboard the Carpe Vita liveaboard include the air-conditioned salon and lounge, equipped with a flat-screen TV and entertainment system. There are 3 partially shaded sun decks with comfortable loungers where guests can soak up the sun and enjoy the sea breeze.
Carpe Vita dive itineraries explore some of the best dive sites in the Maldives. Cruises are seven to ten nights long and divers will have the chance to see everything from pelagics like mantas, sharks, and whale sharks to tiny shrimps, nudibranchs, and ghost pipefish. Diving takes place from the accompanying 60ft (18m) dive dhoni and free Nitrox is available for those certified.
